I absolutely love working with the virtual moodboard creator, Olioboard. I use it all the time for personal inspiration and for design projects I may be working on.
I participated in their last OlioHop, a monthly event in which selected bloggers create Olioboards with a given theme-last month's was organization, and had a blast. This month's theme is mommy spaces. Ok, I am only 23 and certainly do not have children, but I do have a pretty good idea of the kind of sanctuary I would want if I did have little ones running around.
I'll admit, I made an exception about the "frugal" bit with this room...I think a mother's escape should be an indulgence.
Here are my requirements:
-No TV
-Lots of books
-Chaise lounge
-scented candles
-Soft colors
-Cozy blanket
-Fresh flowers
I then created this Olioboard below, which would be my ideal "mom sanctuary." Grasscloth walls, ikat chaise and matching chair and ottoman and bookshelves filled with books. There also would be a lock on the door to ensure some much needed R&R. Hey, I don't have to be a mom to value some alone time in a space like this.

Here are some of the items in this board...
Ikat (my favorite) chaise, armchair and ottam from West Elm
Nailhead cabinet from Layla Grayce
Starburst mirror from The Well Appointed House
